Clement Tan (MBBS, MMed (Ophthalmology), FRCSEd, FAMS, MHPE), is Associate Professor and consultant ophthalmologist at the National University Hospital, Singapore. His particular clinical interests are Neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He is presently Group Chief, Ophthalmology, National University Health System.
Dr Tan’s other abiding interest is in Medical Education. He was previously Program Director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program, Associate Designated Institution Official for the National University Hospital and Chief Examiner for the Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmology). He is currently Head of the Division of Graduate Medical Studies and concurrently Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Specialist Training. In these 2 roles, he oversees all postgraduate specialist training and assessment in Singapore.
